Total number of Disability Living Allowance entitlements for people aged 80 to 84 (12377) Metric type
- Help text
- The total count for all entitled cases of Disability Living Allowance for people aged 80 to 84 living in an area. While DLA is typically given to people aged under 65, if a person continues to meet the requirements for the benefit, they can continue receiving it beyond age 65 if they had previously. Data post Q1 2018/19 are based on 2011 Geographies. Data previous to this are based on 2001 Geographies. Totals for DLA all entitled cases show both the number of people in receipt of an allowance and those with entitlement where the payment has been suspended, for example if they are in hospital.
